The Majestic Star Casino, LLC is a gaming holding company founded in Gary, Indiana by Don H. Barden. Now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, it is the largest black-owned casino operator in the United States and the first and only black-owned casino in Las Vegas Nevada.

As of the end of 2005, the company had over 4,000 employees.

History

The company was formed on December 8, 1993.

Started operation in Gary on June 7, 1996.

Acquired the three Fitzgeralds casinos on December 6, 2001.

On December 20th, 2006, The Majestic Star was awarded a license to open a new casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The new casino is projected to open in March, 2008 and is permitted to operate as many as 5,000 slot machines.

“The Man with All the Toys” is a Christmas song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American pop band The Beach Boys. It was released on their 1964 album The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album.

Wilson remade this song for his 2005 holiday album, What I Really Want for Christmas.
